How to get to Dal from the airport
By bus
- Metro X airport bus
UPDATE: Student can use the to purchase Halifax Transit tickets and passes directly from your smartphone or mobile device.
The (#320) operates every 30 minutes during peak times (morning 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and afternoon 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and every 60 minutes during regular hours.
The bus costs $4.25 CAD and you must have exact change! You may need to make change at the airport if you only have Canadian banknotes.
The bus will pass through Dartmouth bus terminal and takes approximately 30 minutes to get to downtown Halifax (Scotia Square). From there you can then take a cab or another city bus to your final destination.
Connecting buses
If you plan to get a connecting bus, make sure you ask for a transfer ticket (image above). Transfers are valid up to 90 minutes after you recieve it.
Once the Metro X arrives at in downtown Halifax (Scotia Square) you can get bus numbers 1, 10 or 41, which all stop very close to the main Dal campus - tell the driver you are going to Dal and they will let you know when to get off.
By shuttle bus

The Airport Express shuttle operated by makes regular daily runs between the airport and the university (drops-off at most of the Residence buildings and the Student Union Building).
One-way fares cost $22 CAD*/per person, tax include and can only be purchased online or at the Ground Transportation Booth at Halifax Stanfield airport.
By taxi

A one-way trip to Halifax city centre is approximately $63.00 by taxi or limousine. Shared ride service may also be available.
