From July 7 to July 9,^听2023, the Convergence Portal will be moved to a new modern technological environment, in alignment with Government of Canada policies.

Why is the Convergence Portal moving?

In a changing research landscape, moving to a new modern technological environment will provide researchers with added security and increased protection of their assets.

How will this impact me?听

• The Convergence Portal will be unavailable from 8 p.m. ET on July 7 to 10 p.m. ET on July 9.听
• Following the technological upgrade, Convergence passwords will no longer be valid. New passwords will need to be created by clicking on 鈥淔orgot Password鈥� found below the Password (required) box. After 5 incorrect login attempts, accounts will be temporarily locked. To avoid this, passwords must be reset.
• As a Research Grants Officer, you may receive additional questions regarding invalid passwords from applicants who use the Convergence portal.

What has been done to prepare applicants?听

• A similar message has been sent to Convergence Portal Users, informing them of the change and the need to perform a password reset by clicking on 鈥渇orgot password鈥�.
