Edible Horticulture Research
The Faculty of Agriculture was awarded a research grant of $300,000 toward establishing the Edible Horticulture Research Program and the Edible Horticulture Research Chair at the Agricultural Campus.
The main proponent of the project, Dr. R. Lada, worked with Horticulture Nova Scotia and wrote grant proposals that were submitted to AgriFutures and the Technology Development Research Chair program. The Edible Horticulture Research Program will address the research needs of all edible horticulture crops, excluding wild blueberries, potatoes, and apples in Precision Agriculture.
