The winner of the year听David听Alexander听Prize听for听the best essay on the history of Atlantic Canada by an undergraduate student is Isaac MacLean. Issac MacLean's essay, entitled听The Development of Land-Based Racism through Capitalist Desire: An Assessment of Black Communities in the Atlantic Maritimes, 1782-1900听was written for Dr. Michael Bjorge's听seminar on听the history of race and immigration in Canada听at 鲍鱼tv University.
