- MSc, Aerospace Engineering (Aerodynamics), Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran.
- PhD, Mechanical Engineering, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada
Research Topics:
- Renewable energy and wind turbine optimization
- Modal analysis of turbulent flows
- Aerodynamic optimization and fuel saving
- Near-wall dynamics and wake analysis in bluff-body flows
- Subgrid-scale modeling for large-eddy simulation
- Inlet conditions for direct numerical simulation and large-eddy simulation
Research Interests:
Dr Mohammad’s research mainly focuses on high-fidelity, time-dependent and accurate numerical simulation of complex heat and fluid flows (computational fluid dynamics) towards detailed identification of turbulent phenomena and fine flow structures. For this purpose, efficient and novel approaches in discretization, boundary condition prescription, numerical solution and post processing are employed. The outcome, will be in-depth understating of the physics of the fluid flow (fundamental physics) as well as optimized engineering designs which employ heat and fluid flow in their operating cycles (Applied physics).
