My time at Connect has demanded more technical skills than just understanding economic theory and mathematics.
Emanuel Kijazi - MA 2014. Soon after completing my MA in Economics, I was hired as an Analyst by Connect Logistics, a subsidiary of DHL/Exel Logistics. My job involves conducting operations analysis, demand forecasting, as well as operations modeling. Moreover, I am part of a projects team responsible for long-term planning and project performance evaluation. My work relies heavily on my background in mathematical modeling, microeconomics analysis, and statistics. My time at Connect has demanded more technical skills than just understanding economic theory and mathematics. An economist needs to be competent in several software packages -- especially statistical analysis tools. My time at ±«Óãtv gave me the opportunity to explore several analytical software packages, and they have proven to be very useful in my current position.
I also have a keen interest in research. My research interests include internet economics, credit markets, macroeconomic policies, and relativity of economics theories.
My time at ±«Óãtv will always be memorable for me. The mentorship and guidance offered by professors has proven to be very useful in my work life. Professors were friendly and always willing to help. I enjoyed and will miss my interaction with ±«Óãtv professors and students.
