Wendy Watson-Wright (PhD'86) has been elected Chair of GESAMP (United Nations Joint Group of Experts on the Scientific Aspects of Marine Environmental Protection), an interagency body that has been providing independent authoritative interdisciplinary scientific advice for the UN system since 1969.
