Career Development Takes Centre Stage

Dal Human Resources has created a new Career Development unit. This change, part of the Inclusive Excellence pillar of the university’s strategic plan, introduces new career development programs and professional development opportunities to highlight the university's commitment to employee support.

2024 DPMG Awards

There's still time to recognize your DPMG colleagues!  Nominations are being accepted until 4:30pm on Friday, April 5, 2024.  Application forms and information can be found at /dept/dpmg/Award.html
 

Call for Volunteers

We will have around 18 positions becoming vacant across all DPMG committees this year. Nomination information will be circulated in April for May elections. A “Get to Know Your Committee” event will be held again this year to showcase the different ways you can get involved with your DPMG committees. Dates and times to come soon!

February is African Heritage Month

The university community proudly celebratesĚýthe multifaceted identities and rich legacies of Peoples of African Descent! Please join your colleagues for the Launch Day Event andĚýFlag Raising Ceremony on Thursday, February 1st, from 12pm to 2pm in the LeMarchant Atrium (Studley Campus).

Employee Wellness Day - Feb 1

February 1st also marks ±«Óătv's fourth annual Employee Wellness Day, a day of short webinars on a range of wellness topics, drawing on the expertise of our own people.

Each year Employee Wellness Day takes place the day before Munro Day, the first Friday in February, to help ease you into Dal’s own long weekend.

International Women's Day Breakfast Sponsorship

We are thrilled to announce that we have some free tickets available for the 2024 International Women's Day (IWD) breakfast! This special event takes place on March 1, 2024 at Pier 21, starting at 8am. Hosted by , this event features the renowned artist Jully Black as the guest speaker, who will be joined by the celebrated Portia Clarke, host of CBC’s Information Morning, as emcee. A random draw will take place to allocate tickets. Please note that priority access will be given to those DPMG members who self-identify as Black women, Indigenous women, or women of colour ('women' includes those who are trans and cis-gendered). Any remaining tickets will be made available to those DPMG members whose identity falls outside of these groups.
