Ryan Wilson
Ìý | I am a PhD student in Clinical Psychology at ±«Óãtv University. My current research interests are focused on attention and working memory. Specifically, I am interested in improving people's working memory ability through training them to ignore irrelevant, and often distracting, information and focusing only on the critical information in a visual scene. I am also interested in understanding the underlying neurophysiological processes that are affected by this type of training. I have conducted research in the other areas such as aphasia therapy, colour perception and memory, binocular vision, reaching and grasping, and protein expression in avian models of learning. I have used a variety of tools to conduct this research, including: behavioural paradigms, neuroimaging techniques (fMRI, EEG) and immunohistochemistry. |
