Visiting Speaker Series: Dr. Don Huisingh
Dr. Don Huisingh is a world-renowned researcher, educator, and leader for sustainability.
He might be most famously known as the founder Journal of Cleaner Production (JCLP), where he was its Editor-in-Chief for 23 years. He also was the Co-Founder of the Erasmus International Off-Campus Ph.D. Programme on Cleaner Production, Cleaner Products, Industrial Ecology and Sustainable Development.
He continues to work within that program and is presently, co-advising several Ph.D. candidates. He has taught in 45 countries and continues to teach online and/or in person at many of them.
Dr. Don’s Ph.D. is from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1965 with majors in Biochemistry and Plant Pathology. In his Bachelor of Science (Summa Cum Lauda) he majored in Chemistry, Genetics and Horticulture at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul. He continues to delight in sharing his expertise and advancing the goals of sustainability and shared well-being.
