Democracy is something that many have fought for and many of us strive to strengthen. Within our community campus we have leaders and democratic advocates of many types. But of particular note this week is the recognition of the risk taking, envisioning and investment in democracy made by Keltie Jones.
Keltie and her team made every effort to succeed at securing the Mayoral post in Truro. Keltie had ideas to develop and plans she wanted to see unfold for this area. We appreciate and recognize her leadership in encouraging our co-creation of a vibrant community of the best sort.
Congratulations to Keltie for standing up for democracy. And our congratulations and gratitude also goes out to Mayor Bill Mills for continuing to lead and inspire action.
We get the best democracy that we are willing to invest in.
