Homecoming on the Agricultural Campus

Join alumni, faculty, staff and students for three days of activities as we celebrate on the Agricultural Campus!

Events include:

• Ring Days (Wednesday, Oct. 11 and Thursday, Oct. 12, 9 a.m. 鈥� 3 p.m.)
  DASA, Cox Institute听
  Meet the designer behind the Agricultural Campus Barley ring and make a custom order for your ring.
• 1000^th听Ring Celebration (Thursday, Oct. 12, 2 p.m.)
  DASA, Cox Institute听
  Who will make the 1000^th听Barley ring purchase? Since it launched in 2010, the Barley ring has been purchased by alumni across the globe. In this short time, nearly 1000 rings have been sold. It is anticipated that the 1000^th听ring will be ordered during the 2017 Ring Days! The 1000^th听order will be paid for by the Alumni office. Join students, alumni, ring designer and campus dean to celebrate this significant milestone. A special Barley ring production video will also be launched during this time.
• Food Truck Fest (Thursday, Oct. 12, 4 鈥� 8 p.m.)
  Alumni Garden Parking Lot
  Purchase delicious food from various food trucks.
• College Royal (Friday, Oct. 13, 1 p.m.)
  Ruminant Animal Centre
  College Royal celebrates the long-standing tradition of agricultural showmanship while celebrating the unique culture of our campus.听 Demonstrations include livestock handling skills, knowledge of agricultural plants and the ever-popular Farmers鈥� Olympics 鈥� a myriad of events relating to 鈥淕ood Ol鈥� Life on the Farm鈥�; think hay bale rolling, feed sack racing and of course the famous milk chug. This event is a testament to generations of students, dedicated to maintaining the culture of animal-husbandry and health, while continuing to improve public awareness of agricultural issues.

  Our feature Homecoming event! Join Dean of Agriculture, Dr. David Gray for breakfast in the library.

• Rocky鈥檚 Run (Saturday, Oct. 14, 10 a.m.)
  Langille Athletic Centre
  Attend our annual Homecoming event 鈥� a 5-kilometre run through the Agricultural Campus, in partnership with Run Nova Scotia.
• John Higgins Memorial Garden Recognition (Saturday, Oct. 14, 2 p.m.)
  John Higgins Memorial Garden
  Celebrating the completion of the memorial garden and recognizing our generous contributors.
