Brett Winestock is anÌęAssistant Professor of Russian Studies at ±«Óătv University. He received his PhD in Slavic Languages and Literatures at Stanford University in 2020 and was previously a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Leibniz-Institute for Jewish History and Culture (Simon Dubnow) in Germany. He is the author of the book Written for the Drawer: Leonid Tsypkin, Uncensored Literature, and Soviet JewishnessÌę(University of Wisconsin Press, 2024), and his research has also appeared in In Geveb: A Journal of Yiddish Studies and The Russian Review. He hasÌęexperience teaching at the University of Toronto, Stanford University, and Leipzig University. At ±«Óătv, he teaches the Russian language and classes on Eastern Europe's literature, cinemas, and cultures, as well as coordinates the Russian Program Abroad in Daugavpils, Latvia..
