March 29 | 2:00 & 7:30pm
Sir James Dunn Theatre | Dal Arts Centre

As relevant today as it was when first performed 125 years ago, Three Sisters serves as a powerful mirror of our human desire to hope, dream, and imagine a better future, even in the face of great disappointment.  The play speaks to the undeniably fickle nature of life, of its constant unpredictability and unknowability, and of our capacity for endurance.

Directed by Diego Matamoros, The Fountain School of Performing Arts’ Three Sisters is the final stage production of our 2024-2025 season featuring a talented ensemble of 4th year acting program students, including Emmy Ayer as Chebutykin, Meagan Benwell as Olga, John Black as Tuzenbach, Lorenzo Castro Tytelman as Ferapont and Fedotik, Kathrine Currie as Natasha, Maude McInnis as Masha, Bailey Nash as Solyony, Liam Oko as Vershinin, Mae Rafuse as Irina, Kaitlyn Thompkins as Anfisa and Rohde, Christian Vallis as Andrei, and Jake Wilke as Kulygin.

In addition to Diego Matamoros, the creative team includes Assistant Director Maggie Power, Set and Costume Designer Tamara Marie Kucheran, Assistant Set and Costume Designer Eden Reshef, Lighting Designer Tegan Porter, and Sound Designer Lauren Zemmelink.

The production is further supported by the students in the Stage Design and Technical Theatre and Costume Studies programs, including stage manager Veronica Jollimore, and Assistant Stage Managers Cadence Cook and Mia Larche.

The production also features 3rd year actor Fiona Forsythe as Maid, and musicians Amelie Burkinshaw (harp) and John LeBlanc (guitar).
