The American Concrete Institute (ACI) Foundation announced Dr. Sadeghian's MASc student, Faraj Shahrstan, as a 2021-2022 fellowship and scholarship recipient. The ACI Foundation supports students who will become the industry鈥檚 future designers, engineers, construction managers, and contractors. 

Dr. Sadeghian's PhD student, Raghad Kassab, has received the first place award in the CSCE 2021 student competition for her paper "Tensile Properties of PET FRP with Bio-resin Polymer". The competition took place during the CSCE General Annual Conference where Raghad provided a strong case for her research topic, and was recognized for the quality of her submitted paper and presention at the conference.
