Funding advanced scholarship

The Faculty of Graduate Studies manages the processes for prestigious funding programs that provide postdoctoral fellows substantial support to pursue their research, including:

Banting Postdoctoral fellowships

Provides $70,000 annually for two years to Canadian and international researchers who completed a PhD, PhD-equivalent, or health professional degree.

Donald Hill Family Postdoctoral fellowships

A total of three Donald Hill Fellowships can be active at Dal at any one time and are provided to fellows interested in the impact of technology on society. The fellowships are valued at up to $65,000 annually inclusive of fringe benefits and awarded for up to three years.

Killam Postdoctoral fellowships

Awarded annually to recently graduated Canadian and international researchers in any discipline and tenable for two years at up to $55,000 annually.
