Dal Health took part in the  for the first time this year, giving the Faculty the chance to reach out to members of the public on hand to browse health and wellness displays and pick up their race kits for the Bluenose Marathon.
Dal Health experts from a variety of disciplines were on hand to answer questions from the crowd on topics like the Canada Food Guide and nutrition, recreation for mental health, nurse practitioner practice in NS, injury prevention and the benefits of physical activity.
Our volunteers spoke to 175 members of the community and we also had the pleasure of reconnecting with some of our former staff and graduates who stopped by to chat.
Aligned with our strategic directions in cultivating partnerships and fostering citizenship, there are plans for Dal Health to have a presence at the Expo again in 2020.
If you're interested in joining your Dal Health colleagues next spring and sharing your work and expertise with the public, please email Dawn Morrison at dawn.morrison@dal.ca.
