Biography
Joanne Newell is an Adjunct Assistant Professor with ±«Óãtv University, School of Nursing (Yarmouth site) teaching in the BScN program. Joanne has completed both her undergraduate and Master of Nursing degrees from ±«Óãtv University and has enjoyed a 27 year career in nursing education.Ìý Her passion is teaching professional and ethical practice, pathophysiology, and chronic disease care.Ìý Joanne has been involved in Interprofessional Health Education since its inception at ±«Óãtv. Since 2009 she has been a co-facilitator of 2 interprofessionalÌý health education experiences per year surrounding stroke care and has been involved in other unique interprofessional learning initiatives. Joanne’s research interest include IPE, chronic disease management, and professional practice.
