An educational foundation
At the School of Nursing, we prepare future nurses to serve with ²õ°ì¾±±ô±ô,Ìý±è°ù´Ç´Ú±ð²õ²õ¾±´Ç²Ô²¹±ô¾±²õ³¾Ìý²¹²Ô»åÌýcompassion in a wide range of health care settings.
TheÌý´Ú´Ç³Ü²Ô»å²¹³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô of that preparation is our three-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree program. The program prepares students to become Registered NursesÌý(¸é±·²õ).
Students can earn their degree at our HalifaxÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýYarmouth, Nova Scotia locations. Residents of ±·³Ü²Ô²¹±¹³Ü³ÙÌýcan enroll in our BScN (Arctic Nursing) program, offered in collaboration with Nunavut Arctic College.

Dal SON offers Certificate Options for the BScN Program. Currently, there are five approved Nursing Certificates: Oncology, Public Health, Mental Health and Addictions Nursing, Perinatal and Paediatric, and Acute/Critical Care Nursing with other Nursing Certificate options currently in development. The certificate will enable students to explore an area of nursing more in-depth than the generalist level and is responsive to service sector demands in various targeted areas of nursing practice.
