David Scott, professor of Earth Sciences at ±«Óãtv, is reconstructing the history of pollution in Halifax Harbour—determining what sediments on the harbour floor were like in their pristine state. “Halifax Harbour is a large sink for organic matter,” says Dr. Scott, professor of Earth Sciences at ±«Óãtv. “However, the water in the harbour is not the problem—it’s the sediment.”
