The ±«Óătv Campus Master Plan is kicking off phase two of its work next week with a series of workshops.
Known as charettes, the workshops will test ideas and work on issues so a framework for development can be recommended later this year.
“It’s a jam-packed week,” says Director of Planning Mary Jane Adams of Facilities Management. “We have set aside five days. We will look at everything from design ideas to solving technical problems.”
The workshops begin on Tuesday, March 3 and run until the late afternoon on Saturday, March 7.ĚýThe sessions Tuesday through FridayĚýare heldĚýin the Sculpture Court of the ±«Óătv Arts Centre and the Saturday session is held in the Architecture Building (Ralph M. Medjuck Building) exhibition area.
Faculty, staff and students are invited to come in the morning at 8:30 a.m. each day for one-and-a-half hours. There also will be public evening sessions for anyone who wishes to participate, including neighbours. They go from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each evening, including Friday.Ěý

±«Óătv engaged IBI Group, a multi-disciplinary planning and design firm, in the summer of last year to develop the campus plan. Once phase two is complete, IBI will take the information and begin planning for the third and last phase. It will provide the framework for implementation of the master plan.
