Among the 15 universities ranked in this category, Dal is tied for seventh place with University of Calgary. McGill University, University of Toronto and University of British Columbia once again placed in the top three spots in the category.
Within each category, ²Ñ²¹³¦±ô±ð²¹²Ô’s ranks universities based on 12 performance indicators with varying weighting. This year, ±«Óãtv placed in the top five among its cohort for six indicators — twice that of last year.
The university placed third for the percentage of budget devoted to funding scholarships and bursaries. Dal placed fourth for student/faculty ratio, for the number of students who win national awards, for the number of faculty who win major awards, and for the amount of money in the operating budget per full-time-equivalent student. The percentage of budget allocated to library services earned ±«Óãtv a fifth-place rank.

Canada’s most-referenced domestic university ranking, have been an annual feature in the current affairs magazine since 1991.
The ranking separates the 50 participating Canadian universities into three categories: Medical Doctoral, Comprehensive and Primarily Undergraduate. ±«Óãtv’s competes in the Medical Doctoral category as one of the 15 Canadian universities that provide a broad range of PhD programs, focus on research depth and include medical schools.
