It was a big weekend away for the Tigers, with highlights including the swimming team bringing home the titles from the Jack Scholz Invitational! The men’s hockey team secured their second win, with the women earning their third. The regular season of soccer was wrapped up with both women’s and men’s teams claiming a spot in the playoffs. Men’s hockey

The men started off strong with a 4-2 win against the X-Men. Alec Belanger took home player of the game with his pair of goals, one of which was a shorthanded breakaway. They then fell 10-2 to the Panthers, despite scoring just 23 seconds in.

Women’s hockey

The women put up a fierce fight against St. Thomas, with goalie Grace Beer stopping 35 of 37 shots faced, earning her player of the game. Unfortunately, the Tigers couldn’t find the net and settled with a 2-0 loss. They bounced back Saturday with a 4-0 win over the Aigles Bleues. Grace Beer once again took home player of the game for her shutout performance.

Men’s volleyball

The men were unable to get the upper hand against Sherbrooke, as they lost 3-0 in back-to-back games versus the Vert et Or.

Swimming

The Tigers swimmers made us proud this weekend, finishing first in the women’s, men’s, and team standings. On day one alone, they earned ten individual first place finishes. They kept the pressure up on day two, with nine more individual first place finishes.

Women’s soccer

The UPEI Panthers showed up determined to earn a playoff spot, but were shut down in the 82nd minute as the Tigers scored to tie it up 1-1. The Tigers women are now preparing to enter the quarter-finals action.

Men’s soccer

The Tigers have clinched a playoff spot! The 1-0 win against UPEI, with goal scored by Ben Thompson ensured their season would not come to an end.
