Lecturer, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Accounting
The Rowe School of Business invites applications for a probationary tenure-track, tenure-track or tenured appointment in Accounting at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, commencing July 1, 2014. Applicants must have a PhD (or be ABD) in Accounting or a related discipline. For those applying for a more senior rank, a robust research record and demonstrated strong teaching abilities are essential. For candidates who are ABD, a promising research record and evidence of strong teaching are required. A Canadian professional accounting designation is desirable. Candidates must be able to meet the School’s accrediting body’s (AACSB) academic qualification requirements.
The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, continuing an active research program and contributing to the academic life of the school through committee service and other activities. All applicants will be seriously considered, but preference will be given to candidates with a combination of strong teaching abilities and research interests in areas compatible with the Faculty profile.
The Rowe School of Business is part of the Faculty of Management, which has a unique commitment to values-based management and interdisciplinary research and learning. Thus, the successful candidate will have opportunities to work with like-minded colleagues in the sister Schools of Public Administration, Information Management, and Resource and Environmental Studies within the Faculty.
