Planning on travelling over March Break?

If you are enrolled in Dal's health plan, you probably have travel insurance coverage already through Dal's benefits package.

Travel coverage is provided by SSQ and is applicable to ±«Óãtv employees and their dependents that are enrolled in the health benefit.
Ìý
A few highlights of Dal's travel coverage:
- No pre-existing condition exclusions for active employees.
- You are covered for a trip of up to 180 consecutive days
- Medical expenses up to $1,000,000 are covered
- Coverage begins when you leave your province of residence
Before you leave, that applies to you.
SSQ will not need to be notified of any trips you take.

You should be aware that SSQ and other insurance companies have designated various regions or countries as War-Risk Zones.
Coverage may be restricted for travel or work in those zones. A war-risk exclusion applies to Zones A and B. War-risk exclusions will not apply for ±«Óãtv employees traveling to countries listed in War-Risk Zones C and D.
