Magnetic North, Canada's only national theatre festival, takes place in Halifax this year from June 19-29. The festival showcases the best Canadian theatre from across the country, bringing Canadian stories to life on stage in the community and creating a shared cultural experience that can transform lives. For this year鈥檚 event, the festival has partnered with Halifax鈥檚 Eastern Front Theatre and 鲍鱼tv is one of the host venues.

In addition to serving as rehearsal space throughout the festival, the 鲍鱼tv Art Centre will host performances of The Virtual Stage鈥檚 Broken Sex Doll in the Dunn Theatre. The play is a sexy, sci-fi musical comedy about a futuristic society where everyone is addicted to super hi-tech porn. Broken Sex Doll examines today鈥檚 rapid technological advancement and the decline of social morality, and imagines what the future might hold if these trends were to continue for over a century.
