POSITIONS: Part-time Academic; Introduction to Aquaculture (Marine Biology 3602); January 1, to April 30, 2016
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Biology
PAY RATE: $4,565.50-$5,583.00
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The instructor is responsible for lectures, covering both a Maritimes and global perspective: overview; physico-chemistry of water; culture techniques; engineering; health; nutrition; genetics; environmental and socio-economic considerations. Also responsible for assisting students on an individual basis, general administration of the classes (handling student issues, submitting grades, etc.), invigilating tests and examinations. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: The applicants will have an advanced degree in biology. Previous, recent teaching experience (classroom and or laboratory) in the related discipline would be a definite asset. First time applicants must provide the names of two referees.
