Celebrating French culture and highlighting opportunities and collaborations between ±«Óătv, France and French partners.

10am: Study in France 

University Hall, MacDonald Bldg, ±«Óătv University 

Learn all about summer classes, English-taught university courses, grant opportunities, visa procedures, Campus France, French language tests, and everyday life in France.

Presented by Consulate General of France in Atlantic Provinces and Alliance Française. Refreshments provided.

12:30 p.m. Open Class on French Film themes (In French)

Les enjeux de l'immigration et de l'identité en France: perspectives cinématographiques. 

Dal’s Prof. Christopher Elson and his Language & Culture” students present some current trends in

French cinema with respect to the debates on immigration, identity, laïcité (secularity) and republican values. 

With brief introduction to the films of Jacques Audiard including “Dheepan” (screening at 7 p.m.).
