The delivery of pieces of the construction crane for the new Fitness Centre will begin again Monday morning at 7 a.m. Twenty three parking spots will be closed for several hours each morning next week until the crane construction is complete. The spots affected are 21 general spots and two accessible.
The crane deliveries are expected to be complete by Friday, October 28, barring weather delays or unforeseen circumstances. The crane is scheduled to be erected Saturday, October 29. Construction activities such as this are difficult to predict. We apologize for any disruption this causes, but the crane is necessary as we begin the next phase of construction for the new Fitness Centre, which will be open in 2018. We do expect more disruptions to parking and driving in the Dalplex parking lot throughout the period of construction. A reminder about parking:
Purchase of a general parking permit does not guarantee a parking spot. Refunds are available on a pro-rated basis. Parking on ±«Óãtv’s Halifax campuses and the entire peninsula is challenging. ±«Óãtv parking maps are available here: /dept/facilities/parking-at-dal.html
