Univer鈥嬧�媠ity-wide Teaching Awards - Call for Nominations

鲍鱼tv University has an exceptional and complementary array of faculty and instructors, all who have help to build 鲍鱼tv鈥檚 reputation for educational excellence across Canada and around the world. 鲍鱼tv honours instructors and graduate students on an annual basis with a number of teaching excellence and innovation awards for their contribution to maintaining and supporting 鲍鱼tv's reputation as being a leader in higher education. 聽

Awards
鲍鱼tv Alumn鈥嬧�嬧�媔 Association Award of Excellence for Teaching聽

Nominees for this award will normally have ten or more years of teaching experience. Candidates must be ful颅l鈥恡ime faculty or instructors at 鲍鱼tv University.

One award will be presented annually. 聽

Early Career Faculty鈥嬧�� Award of Excellence for Teaching聽

Nominees for this award will be early career faculty with a minimum of three years teaching and fewer than ten years teaching experience in their current role.

One award will be presented annually. 聽

Contract and Limited-Term Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching鈥嬧�嬄�

Candidates must be a full-time contract or limited-term faculty member of the 鲍鱼tv University teaching staff. While there is no rigid criterion for length and breadth of service at the university, a teaching record extending more than two years at 鲍鱼tv is expected, though the position need not be a 12-month appointment in each year.

One award will be presented annually. 聽

Sessional and Part-Time Instructor鈥嬧�嬧�嬧�嬄燗ward for Excellence in Teaching聽

Candidates must be a part-time member of the 鲍鱼tv University teaching staff. While there is no rigid criterion for length and breadth of service at the university, a teaching record extending over several years and including the teaching of more than one course is expected. Nominees shall normally be teaching at least one course at 鲍鱼tv in the term of nomination.

One award will be presented annually. 聽

Award for Excellence in Graduate 鈥嬧�婼upervision聽

Excellence in graduate supervision is recognized as the successful mentorship of graduate students through an enriching, supportive and productive learning environment. Nominees shall have at least ten years supervision experience at the graduate level.

Award for Ex鈥媍ellence in Education for Diversity聽

This award will be presented to a teacher who has enhanced the 鲍鱼tv teaching and learning environment through excellence in education for diversity.

One award will be presented annually. 聽

Academic Inn鈥嬧�媜vation Award聽

This award is for an individual who has developed an innovation that has resulted in a sustained impact on student learning at 鲍鱼tv. It may include innovations in course or curriculum design; development or application of tools or technologies; or the development or application of innovative methods or learning experiences to enhance student learning.

One award will be presented annually. 聽

Educational Leadershi鈥嬧�嬧�媝 Award for Collaborative Teaching聽

One award is presented annually to recognize the collaborative work of a team of colleagues whose leadership has made a significant contribution to student learning at the department, Faculty or institutional level (primarily at 鲍鱼tv, and possibly beyond the institution). The award is open to all 鲍鱼tv University faculty members, including department chairs and deans.

President鈥檚 Graduate鈥� Student Teaching Award聽

The 鲍鱼tv President's Graduate Student Teaching Awards are open to all qualified graduate student instructors (currently registered Master's and Ph.D. candidates), including previous nominees (but not previous recipients).

Up to three awards will be presented annually.
