Duties: The primary responsibilities of this position are lecture support for organic chemistry classes, and developing and instructing the laboratory sections in the organic chemistry laboratory program.
This position reports to the Dean of the Faculty of Science through the Chair of the Department of Chemistry.
The position requires a minimum of an MSc degree in Chemistry, with a specialization in organic chemistry, and at least three years of laboratory and lecture teaching experience in organic chemistry at the university level. The successful candidate will be qualified to provide extensive organic chemistry lecture support, including developing and presenting tutorials, for the primary lecturers in 2nd year organic chemistry classes, managing and instructing the laboratory sections of the undergraduate program, and leading the continuous development and modernization of the organic chemistry laboratory curriculum.
