Theresa Gilbert and Dale Bamford  Faculty of Health, School of Nursing
Both, Theresa and Dale, have not let one day go by (since we started working remotely) without sending funny ood morning messages and memes to staff! Thank you for creating many memories this way! You both rock!
Angelika Torres
Drew Affleck   Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development
Drew was very responsive throughout my employment process with Dal. He kept me up to date and informed. Knowing my personal situation, he always reached out to make sure I was ok and not alone. He is a kind and compassionate colleague, thank you Drew!
Keiron Lock-Lawton
Nancy Rogers    Family Medicine
This rockstar helps me more than she will ever know! She helps drag me out of the quicksand of my job and helps get me back to steady ground on the regular. Without her I would not be here after 8 years!!! :)
Mandy Morgan
Jason Stephanian   Faculty of Law
Jason took on the role of VP Academic at the LSS, and supported the upper year students through course registration. His hard work and willingness to answer questions is very appreciated!
Serena Feeney
Geordie Lounsbury   Faculty of Law
The burden of making sure the law school was stable on the tech side -- arguably the most important side -- fell on Geordie. He was tireless, patient, responsive and helpful to faculty and students who were struggling or just needed routine assistance; a remarkable team player.
Robert Currie
Elizabeth Sanford    Faculty of Law
Elizabeth has been a clear leader in the core of administrative staff who kept this place afloat during all of the difficulties of the pandemic. The incredible amount of work she did, tirelessly and in the background, will never be known, but it was appreciated by those who know.

Dr. Stephen Parcell   School of Architecture
1) For always seeing the global picture. 2) for keeping us connected, advised, on track! 3) For all he does for staff, students and faculty! He is the supreme guru. Thank you.
Susanna Morash-Kent
Jennifer Hann  Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development
A huge shout-out to the supervisor of our Student Services Team, Jennifer Hann. In addition to her responsibilities as Director of the University Prep. program and Mature Student Advisor for the University, she took on the duties of overseeing our Student Services Team with very short notice when we had a change in staffing before the pandemic. Shortly thereafter, we were locked down with the pandemic and all working remotely from home. For the last year and a half Jennifer has kept us continually informed of all the changes that this new normal has entailed by regularly meeting with us, checking in on us and fielding all the operational changes that have been necessary to allow us to offer online classes in an environment that for the most part has been classroom delivery for over 20 years. She is a consummate professional and her signature sense of humor has kept us all going on even the most stressful of days.

Chris Newell  Office of Advancement
Chris Newell is a calm, reassuring presence. He is professional with a heart. Chris has led his team through many changes and challenges, not to mention COVID-19. His team was constantly reassured that if we needed anything, anything at all, to reach out and he would do whatever possible to help us in our work. He needs to be recognized for his contributions to the Office of Advancement and if he is not, the ±«Óătv community will miss out on knowing there are supervisors on campus that are great at what they do.

Kathie Wheadon  Athletics & Recreation
Over the last 18 months, Dalplex has weathered an interesting roller coaster ride. Thanks to Kathie's leadership, we have found new methods of operation and demonstrated another level of adaptability with a primary goal of effectively servicing our students, staff, faculty and community members. Big shout-out to Kathie!

The Dal Libraries Team  ±«Óătv University Libraries
I am in awe of my colleagues in the Dal Libraries -- everyone is making tremendous contributions and extending themselves in unprecedented ways. We are working in a very demanding environment and I am so grateful for the efforts that everyone is making on behalf of our students, staff, faculty and community members. It is an honour to work with all of you.

The Undergraduate Team of Faculty and Staff in the School of Nursing, including the Assistant and Associate Directors School of Nursing
I wanted to shed light on the entire team of Undergraduate Faculty and Staff in the School of Nursing who have been absolutely brilliant during these deeply challenging times. Their leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to students has been outstanding. They collectively make me deeply proud to call each and every one of them my colleagues. Bravo to this remarkable group of nursing educators and leaders!

Thejodhar Pulakunta  Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Neuroscience
Tej made a significant contribution in collaborating to prepare educational videos that had a positive impact on students. He was generous in his time, suggestions, and resources.
Akram Jaffar
Geordie Lounsbury  Law
The burden of making sure the law school was stable on the tech side -- arguably the most important side -- fell on Geordie. He was tireless, patient, responsive and helpful to faculty and students who were struggling or just needed routine assistance; a remarkable team player.

Martin Burns     Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development
This is a huge shout out to Martin and by extension to all of our IT staff. When we knew working remotely from home was going to be our new normal, Martin sorted out all of the computer equipment people would need to ensure a seamless transition. This involved setting up systems for about 50 people in a very short turnaround time. Since then, Martin has provided ongoing support with grace and humor. We literally couldn't have done anything we have done to date without his mad technical skills. I have always appreciated the way he assists without making those of us who are technically challenged feel like we haven't a brain in our heads. The hurdles we have jumped over technically have been nothing short of amazing when I think how far we have come since the pandemic began. It has allowed us to stay connected even though physically apart.
