Microbial Biopolymers (Pathogenesis & Biomaterials) faculty Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Oral Sciences.

The Faculty of Dentistry, ±«Óãtv University, is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Oral Sciences.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in one of the following areas: chemical, materials or biomedical engineering; material / polymer chemistry; biophysics; microbiology or a related discipline, and academic or industrial post-doctoral experience. This individual will be expected to compete effectively for extramural research funding and maintain an active research program that has the capacity to attract both NSERC and CIHR funding. In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching in the Faculty of Dentistry, and will actively engage in graduate student supervision in the Faculty of Dentistry or within a relevant academic unit (e.g., the Faculty of Medicine, including but not limited to the Department of Microbiology & Immunology and the School of Biomedical Engineering).
