With generous support from the Picchione family and theÌýÌý(DMRF), theÌýPicchione Lecture Series: Research and the Future of Health CareÌýserves to engage public interest and understanding of the relationship between health research and health outcomes.

Engaging patients in all aspects of primary health care research can help make research more relevant and meaningful for both patients and researchers. The purpose of this presentation will be to explore the how/when/where and, especially, the why of engaging patients in primary health care research through stories of patient engagement from Colorado, USA.

Local panelists, including a local patient advocate, will bring perspectives on how patient engagement in primary health care research is unfolding in Nova Scotia.
