Post-Doctoral Students

Michel Bertrand, PhD

Dr. Michel Bertrand has been working as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Corkum LABS since November 2022. Dr. Betrand completed his PhD in Clinical Psychology under the supervision of Dr. Annie Vallières at Laval University in 2022, and his dissertation focused on CPAP treatment adherence for sleep apnea. His work at Corkum LABS consists of contributing to the development of the BNBD adult version as well as the adaptation of existing platforms for adult populations.

PhD Students

Lindsay Rosenberg

Lindsay is in her 7thÌýyear of the Clinical Psychology PhD program at ±«Óãtv University, and has been with the lab since 2020. She is currently on Internship, and she is working on her dissertation titledÌýInvestigating the usability, implementation, and effectiveness ofÌý the Healthy Sleep for Healthy SchoolsÌýschool-based sleep intervention.ÌýBefore her time in the lab, she completed her Masters in School Psychology from University of Manitoba in 2018, and her Bachelor of Arts with Honours at the University of Winnipeg in 2013.

Jocelyn Paul

Jocelyn is a 5th year Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at ±«Óãtv University, and has been a part of the lab since 2022. She graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons) degree, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Biology from Mount Saint Vincent University in 2018. Additionally, she completed her M.Sc. in Psychiatry Research from ±«Óãtv University in 2020. Jocelyn is currently working on her dissertation, which aims to understand the perspectives, barriers, and facilitators of sleep, as well as sleep interventions among Indigenous populations in Nova Scotia.

Emily Wildeboer

Emily is in her 5thÌýyear of the Clinical Psychology PhD program at ±«Óãtv University, under the supervision of Dr. Penny Corkum and Dr. Elizabeth Keys. She has been part of the lab since 2022. Her research focuses on the development and evaluation of an online learning program for healthcare providers related to sleep problems in young children. Before her time in the lab, she completed her Bachelor of Arts with Honours at Western University in 2020.

Alzena Ilie

Alzena is in her 3rdÌýyear of the Clinical Psychology PhD program at ±«Óãtv University, and has been with the lab since 2021. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with Honours under the supervision of Dr. Penny Corkum in 2022.ÌýHer dissertation is focused on the Promoting Healthy Sleep Program, an eLearning professional development program focused on training healthcare providers in how to assess and treat pediatric insomnia and other sleep disorders in school-aged children.

Mya Dockrill

Mya is in her 2nd year of the Clinical Psychology PhD program at ±«Óãtv University and has been with Corkum LABS since 2020. Mya completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with Honours at ±«Óãtv under the supervision of Dr. Chris Moore and Dr. John Corbit in the Early Social Development Lab in 2021. Mya then moved to Southern Ontario to complete her Master of Arts degree in Developmental Psychology at the University of Waterloo (2021-2023). Her current dissertation plan is to focus on the treatment of sleep difficulties in underrepresented populations.

Undergraduate Students

Lindsay Aubin

Lindsay is completing her fourth year in a Bachelor of Science of Psychology with a minor in Sociology at ±«Óãtv. She joined Corkum Labs in 2024 to complete her Honours under the supervision of Dr. Penny Corkum, focusing on the usability and feasibility of the ABCs of Sleeping app for young adults.

Peyton Williams

Peyton is in her fourth year of her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at ±«Óãtv University, and joined Corkum Labs in 2024. She is completing her honours under the supervision of Dr. Corkum which focuses on the adaptingÌýHealthy Sleep for Healthy SchoolsÌýforÌýelementary school-aged students.
