Classics student society

Kylix, the society for graduate students of Classics, was established to “promote intellectual stimulation and camaraderie” among the students. To that end, our major role in the department is helping to organize and cater the departmental lecture series. We also host various social events, so that the students can get to know each other better outside of a classroom setting. Finally, we select the winner of the Nicole Knox Memorial Prize, presented annually to the undergraduate student who displays outstanding achievement in Greek and Latin.

Kylix (in Greek, a type of cup with a shallow bowl and a long stem) also ensures that the graduate students have representation in the ±«Óătv Association of Graduate Students.

Keep your eyes open for postings about Kylix events - or ask the Classics Department administrator.
