±«Óãtv’s Faculty of Agriculture boasts internationally recognized researchers across multiple disciplines leading state-of-the-art research laboratories. The Faculty also hosts a number of regionally unique centres and facilities, including the Centre for Sustainable Soil Management, the Organic Agriculture Centre of Canada, the Canadian Centre for Fur Animal Research, the , and the Bio-Environmental Engineering Complex. Field research activities are further supported by an active 250-hectare research farm and features an experimental orchard, and a unique partnership with providing students with access to the latest in farming and precision agriculture technologies.

The MSc program with a specialization in Agriculture is designed to provide a foundation for studies at the doctoral level and for professional careers in research and development, teaching, industry, and extension.

PhD in Agricultural Sciences

The PhD program in Agricultural Sciences through the Faculty of Agriculture is the first doctoral degree in Agricultural Sciences offered in Atlantic Canada. This thesis-based program will allow students to pursue advanced-level knowledge in agriculture and develop expert skills in their discipline of focus, while producing original, high-quality research that will impact audiences ranging from international scholars to local farmers.
