Academic opportunities

  • Integrated Science: First year students can enroll in the Integrated Science Program [DISP). This one-of-a-kind experience focuses on the application of concepts and skills across a wide range of scientific disciplines, culminating in a research project at the end of the first year.

  • First Year Interest Groups (FIGS): Each is a small group of about 15 first-year students who have similar academic interests. FIGS are free, informal (no homework!), and fun.

  • Co-op: Available in 11 programs in the Faculty of Science through Work-Integrated Learning & Cooperative Education. Students alternate classwork with three to four paid work terms and graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Co-op).
