POSITION:
Honours Coordinator - SCIE 4900X/Y
Reports to Assistant Dean Medical Sciences
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:
Medical Sciences Program, Carleton Campus
PAY RATE: In accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT:
Responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering SCIE 4900X/Y, including facilitation of research opportunities, interactions with supervisors, chairing the Honours Committee, facilitation of applications, approval of projects, lecture planning and teaching, facilitation of reports and theses, organization of Honours symposium and evaluation of presentations.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
The successful applicant must have a PhD in a medical science field and at least 5 years of senior-level teaching experience in the medical sciences. The candidate must also have strong communication skills and experience interacting with undergraduate students, including advising. Experience working at ±«Óãtv and in the BSc Medical Sciences program are a definite asset.
