The Department of Chemistry would like to inform you that the renovation of the 1st floor washrooms in the Chemistry Building will begin on or around 聽April 7聽until end of summer. During this time, the hallway between the Resource Center entrance and the Podium hallway will be closed. As a result, there will be no passage between the LSC and the Podium, Chemistry Stores or Killam Library through that hallway.

We kindly ask that you use the outside entrances to access these areas, or alternatively, use the聽2nd floor Chemistry hallway聽to reach the elevator until the end of May, or the聽north stairwell聽for access to those spaces.

For those with accessibility needs, there will be signage posted to guide you through the most convenient alternative routes. If you have accessible needs and need something from Chemistry Stores, please contact them directly and they will deliver your products.

Please note that the renovation will involve some noise and disruption, including drilling and banging. While our contractors are committed to minimizing the impact, we ask for your patience and understanding during this process. The end result will be聽5 accessible, gender-neutral washrooms, and we are confident that this improvement will be worth the temporary inconvenience.
