The Norman Newman Centre for Entrepreneurship (NNCE), in partnership with the ±«Óătv Sandboxes, is pleased to announce the first annual World’s Challenge Challenge (WCC) Ideathon.
Most people ask, “What is the World’s Challenge Challenge and what is an ideathon?!?!”
- The World’s Challenge Challenge (aka WCC) is an annual international competition hosted by Western University. This competition asks student teams to put forward innovative ideas to help tackle some of the world’s most pressing and complex problems. The WCC encourages young minds from different disciplines to come together to address a global issue, offering solutions to implement in partnership with communities.
- An ideathon is a facilitated program that challenges participants to generate innovative solutions to a posed problem in a compressed period of time.
At Dal, we run a series of programs inspired by the WCC and its stated purpose “to bring together individuals with a broad worldview, seeking to study, influence and lead in the international community and to create global citizens who think creatively and critically, about significant issues that affect us all”. The WCC Ideathon is the first program of the WCC season!Â
This program is open to all ±«Óătv students (undergraduate and graduate) from any field of study. Â
There is no charge to participate in the event. All meals are provided. Seats are limited. Register today!
