鲍鱼tv Medicine New Brunswick, the Faculty of Medicine, and 鲍鱼tv University are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Dr. Ryan Buyting, Class of 2022, on July 26, 2022.

Born on August 6, 1995, Ryan accomplished much in his short life, including a BSc and Master鈥檚 degree from McGill University. He was awarded a large research scholarship, which helped him fund his medical education, and he graduated from 鲍鱼tv Medicine New Brunswick in May 2022. He started a neurosurgery residency in Edmonton, Alberta in July 2022.

Ryan left an indelible mark on the 鲍鱼tv medical community. As the tallest person in the room, he was easy to pick out of a crowd and, when you did, he would always greet you with one of his trademark smiles.

Generous with his time, Ryan spent countless hours organizing the 9^th Annual 鲍鱼tv Medicine New Brunswick Charity Golf Classic. An accomplished researcher, Ryan was also the recipient of the Dr. John Steeves Research in Medicine Award at the DMNB Launch Ceremony this spring and the Dr. N. N. Isa Award for Obstetrics at Convocation. Ryan鈥檚 dedication, curiosity, warmth, and many kindnesses will be well remembered.

He will always be a member of the 鲍鱼tv Medicine New Brunswick, Faculty of Medicine, and greater 鲍鱼tv communities and will be profoundly missed.
