The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences wishes to share the sad news of the passing of Dr. James (Jim) Stolzman, a retired faculty member of the department of Sociology and Social Anthropology.

Jim was a beloved and respected colleague, mentor, and friend to his fellow faculty members in SOSA. His profound dedication to undergraduate teaching and advising earned him multiple teaching awards, as well as the lasting fondness and appreciation of legions of students over his long career. His memory continues to inspire his students and fellow teachers.
