Getting to campus

The majority of the university’s daily visitors either walk, take transit, cycle, or carpool to all of ±«Óãtv campuses.Ìý

Getting to our campuses

±«Óãtv University's Halifax campuses are located in the south end of Halifax, about a half-hour drive from theÌý, and a 15-minute walk to downtown.

The ±«Óãtv Agricultural Campus is located in Bible Hill, just outside of Truro, Nova Scotia - about an hour's drive from the Halifax Campus.

The ±«Óãtv Medical Education Program is located in Saint John, New Brunswick, a four-hour drive from Halifax.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is offered in Halifax and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Yarmouth is approximately 3 hours from Halifax in southwestern Nova Scotia.

Parking

General Parking information

To park on campus in Halifax, you will need to purchase aÌývirtual parking permitÌýusing the HotSpot app.Ìý

Car-Share parking

There are three dedicated spots on campus forÌýÌýcar share, one car is located on the Studley campus by the SUB, one is on the Carleton campus by the Dentistry Building, and one is on Sexton campus in front of Gerard Hall.

At the Truro campus, vehicles do not need to be registered and you do not need a parking permit.Ìý

Public transit

Ìýhas several buses that go by our campuses and Dal offers a student transit pass (UPASS) and an employee pass (XPASS) to help you get to and from campus.Ìý

Bikes

There are over 1,040 bike spots and over 470 bike racks located throughout the Studley, Carleton, Sexton, and Agricultural Campuses. For more information on bike racks and end of trip facilities, consult the report on all Bike Locations on campus.
