Accessibility plan
Our Accessibility Plan includes initiatives to improve accessibility in the built environment; teaching, learning, and research; goods and services; information and communication; transportation; and employment. We are committed to the work required to achieve this goal for our community.
Student accessibility
The Student Accessibility Centre (Halifax) and the Student Success Centre (Truro) are ±«Óătv’s centres of expertise on student access, inclusion, and accommodation support.
Accessible employment
Within ±«Óătv’s Human Resources, a dedicated Accessible Employment team administers the University’s Employment Accommodation Policy to provide a workplace that supports full participation and engagement. Accessible Employment also administers provisions of the University’s sick leave benefits, which include short-term sick leave for illness/injury, long-term disability benefits, and return to work planning, as well as education and outreach to the broad ±«Óătv community.
