Minimum admission requirements

To be considered for admission to this program, you must meet minimum academic criteria:

  1. Completion of secondary school (Grade 12)
  2. Achievement of the minimum average for your program of choice.
  3. Completion of Grade 12 English (or equivalent course).

Admission to many ±«Óãtv programs is competitive. This means that meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

  • Minimum overall average: 70%
  • Academic English 12
  • Pre-calculus Math 12
  • Academic Chemistry 12
  • Academic Physics 12
  • One additional academic subject

Program options

Undergraduate students have the option of following a co-op program (five years) or a non-co-op program (four years). Students can obtain certificates in Structural, Geotechnical, Water Resources and Environmental Engineering. We are home to some of the top researchers in these areas in the country.

What you will learn

In the first two years of their degree, all engineering students complete the Core Engineering Program. Students can take this program on the Sexton Campus in Halifax or the Agricultural Campus in Truro. You will study math, science, engineering science and design, developing a broad foundation in engineering.
