Minimum admission requirements
To be considered for admission to this program, you must meet minimum academic criteria:
- Completion of secondary school (Grade 12)
- Achievement of the minimum average for your program of choice.
- Completion of Grade 12 English (or equivalent course).
Admission to many ±«Óãtv programs is competitive. This means that meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
Program-specific admission requirements
Admission requirements of the faculty offering the chosen degree apply. For example, for a BSc Double Major, prospective students would be subject to the admission requirements of the Faculty of Science. See Admission Requirements section of the Academic Calendar for each Faculty.

Students can enroll in an Honours program for a more in-depth background in Ocean Sciences and an independent research experience. In combination with a BSc in Ocean Sciences, students may obtain one or more certificate(s).Ìý

The Ocean Sciences degree is designed to prepare you to tackle some of society’s most exciting ocean opportunities and pressing environmental challenges. An undergraduate degree in ocean sciences is a strong foundation for pursuing master’s and professional degrees, such as Master of Science (MSc), Master of Marine Management (MMM), Master of Resource and Environmental Management (MREM), Master of Business Administration, law and ocean technology.
