Colloquium on Cooperatives and the Good Director
How should directors of cooperatives understand their role? How should they exercise their powers? What interests, norms, and aims should they consider when making decisions—and which should they prioritize? In other words, what makes a good director of a cooperative?
Join Schulich Law Assistant Professor Liam McHugh-Russell for "Colloquium on Cooperatives and the Good Director." The event aims to create the foundations for constructive, longer-term conversations and framework for debate about how the questions above should be approached and understood.
A wide cross-section of participants have been invited to attend, including cooperative board members, consultants and regulators, social scientists and business scholars, legal scholars with expertise in corporate law, and lawyers who have acted for cooperatives.
